HOTELS

Before you book a hotel, always research online to see if the hotel is in a safe neighborhood. Safety comes first.

There has to be a balance between your wellbeing and saving money. You do not want to risk your safety just to save money. Also staying in a dirty hotel will make you wretchedly unhappy and uncomfortable. You need a decent hotel room to take a good rest without worrying about things will be stolen from your room or stressing out about cleanness.

Read the reviews of a hotel online from more than one website because some websites filter out unflattering reviews to help the merchants. Researching different sources will give you a better idea what a particular hotel is like.

Book a hotel in a convenient location. If you only have few days to spend in Paris, your time is very limited and precious, don't book a hotel far away from major attractions. You don't want to waste your time commuting from your hotel on the outskirts of Paris to the tourist destinations. It's worth paying a little more for a good location so you can spend more time exploring the city and step outside your hotel to enjoy the neighborhood during the evening and night.

Nothing is worse than dragging your tired body to use any transportation back to your hotel for a long time at the end of the day. It is also very depressing living in a "not happening" area where there is nothing to to do at night and you might not even feel safe to go out.
